There is a lot of don’t do this in this video but Kudos to the guys in the Infiniti. I’m pretty sure if one of you lot’s vehciles was jacked right in front of you, you would go chasing after it too. Now because we are mature and don’t advocate blowing through red lights I will say again that this was very naughty but if you do end up in this situation, do please record it.

They did nothing good at all. Multiple infractions, ruined trailer, ruined truck, badly damaged bike, no-one caught.

It may have been better not to attract attention in the first place and just tail them ‘til the cops showed up.

Still, fun vid.

Agreed. I guess they weren’t thinking in the heat of the moment. I do wonder what the thieves’ plan of action was. Did they still the truck and then decide they wanted a trailer too only to then decide they need to test it out by stealing the bike.

I was in a chase once, but it was nowhere near as eventful as this one. Just watching this got my heart pumping.

I sure hope the truck/trailer were not stolen, and therefore help to identify the thieves.

This is INSANE. FYI to anyone who may ever find themselves in this situation — the liability you bear by giving chase is nearly as much as the liability placed on the driver of the Silverado. If the Silverado wrecks and kills a guy while you were pursuing him, you could easily find yourself sued for being a part of this ridiculous chase.

It’s all money. I have a bit of a trailer fetish and good box trailers go for good dosh and are hard to trace! Add a bike and truck and it’s gravy, quite the haul.

Both the truck and trailer were stolen from different people no less.

This is exactly why the police have procedures in place. They may seem slow and ineffectual, but there’s good reason. If the thieves were not pursued, they probably would have not caused so much unnecessary damage.

But, even though the pursuers escalated the situation, I still think it’s 100% fair to assign most, if not all blame to the thief in the driver’s seat. Nobody “made” anybody do anything.

Yep, you hate to let crime happen, but the reason you have (or should have) insurance is so that you don’t have to do needlessly risky stuff like this.

That sucks.

It sucks for the motorcycle owners, it sucks for the truck and trailer owners, and it sucks for the police.

Man, that Infiniti sounded sweet.

If the driver of the Infiniti shows this video to the cops, won’t they just get in trouble for speeding and running red lights? There’s video evidence.

I think the police knew with the whole “those guys are doing 110 and were chasing them right now on [insert American street name]”.

True. Either way, not a wise decision. But if someone took off with my car, in the heat of the moment I’d probably take wifey’s car and do the same thing. Although they’d probably get away since her CX-5 is slow.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Ten peoples’ cars got hit that wouldn’t have if these two asshats hadn’t chased them. And what if dudes in the Silverado rolled down their window and sent some .40s at them while they were turning around.

The two guys in the Infinity should have been jailed for inciting a riot.

I once tailed a guy from one end of town to the other, then back again in order to repo his car. He didn’t know I was following him, but still.

They brought about utter chaos and caused many thousands of dollars worth of damage. Inciting chaos...

All of that over a motorcycle. Crazy.

What bothers me about this is, where are the cops while the truck is doing 110 mph and blowing through lights?

Answer: no where to be found.

They will move heaven and earth to pull you over if you are doing 10 mph over the speed limit but people who are driving like this endangering the public are able to do as they please.

These bros are fucking morons. It’s not like the guys driving the stolen vehicles are saints, but these dipshits escalated the situation and put themselves and everyone else in greater danger. Sorry about your bike, broseph, but I hope you get charged for this crap.
